It's our final night of the trip, and with the exception of Thursday's Thai dinner courtesy of the band, our first chance to have a proper sit down meal. Everything else has been a cheerless bit of fast food for lunch or a snatched plate of food from catering in the evening.

If there's one thing every tourist should do in Toronto it's ascend the CN Tower for the panoramic view of the city and Lake Ontario. And sure enough that's our first stop of the day, or at least that's the plan. It's a mere two blocks from the hotel but before we even make it that far we spot an open-top sightseeing bus parked right ahead of us, so jump on board.

I've found porn in a safe in Brazil and a lump of hash in a drawer in Germany, but here in Montreal the gift one amnesiac has left for me to discover is altogether less welcome.

Ah, the best laid plans of mice and men... so easily blown awry by matters out of our hands. It's been a ridiculously busy day, pumping out press releases, dealing with pop stars and chatting with journalists, but like a whirlwind I get it all done and fly from the office almost on time to jump on the Heathrow Express and check in at Terminal 5 for my flight to Montreal, bang on time at 4pm.
